Part-load or full-load
If you’re looking for international transportation of a large quantity of goods, you can fill a
container or trailer yourself and we’ll ship your goods when you’re ready.
However, if you have a smaller quantity to ship, we can offer to transport your goods together with other customers’ goods. That way, you only pay for the space you use and more people pay the total transportation costs. This is smart, cost-effective and good for the environment.
Customs duties on international transport
When you import goods to Denmark from countries outside the EU, you generally have to pay customs duties on both the goods and the transportation (but only on transportation until the goods arrive in the EU).
The customs duty is calculated based on the value of the goods, shipping costs (outside the EU) and any other taxes.
Before you start importing into Denmark, your company must be registered as an importer with the Danish Business Authority and have an EORI number (assigned automatically upon registration).
If you export goods from Denmark to a country outside the EU for resale, customs duties are generally also payable (formally, customs duties are paid by the importer). Rules and rates depend on whether the country you are exporting to has a free trade agreement with Denmark or not. If you export goods, your company must be registered as an exporter and assigned an EORI number, just like for imports.
If you trade with countries within the EU borders, you are covered under the EU Customs Union and are therefore not subject to customs duties or customs restrictions.
